Shiv Sena wins in Ambernath by 29,294 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Dr. Kinikar Balaji Pralhad of Shiv Sena beats Congress's Rohit Chandrakant Salve in Ambernath

Shiv Sena won Ambernath, defeating second-placed Congress by 29294 votes. It had also won Ambernath in the previous election, and retained the seat with a landslide margin.

Ambernath is in the Thane Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is also a constituency reserved for SC candidates, and is a predominantly urban constituency.

Dr. Kinikar Balaji Pralhad of the Shiv Sena received 44.9% of the vote, compared to 23.0% of the Congress's Rohit Chandrakant Salve. Shiv Sena's voteshare increased by 9.9% from 2014, while Congress's voteshare increased by 11.3%.

The constituency saw a 4-cornered contest, with Shiv Sena, Indian National Congress, Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi, Maharashtra Navnirman sena all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
