BJP wins in Ulhasnagar by 2,004 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Ailani Kumar Uttamchand of BJP beats NCP's Jyoti Pappu Kalani in Ulhasnagar

BJP won Ulhasnagar, defeating second-placed NCP by 2004 votes. NCP had won this constituency in the previous election, but BJP took control of the seat with a narrow margin in this election.

Ulhasnagar is in the Thane Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.

Ailani Kumar Uttamchand of the BJP received 39.8% of the vote, compared to 38.0% of the NCP's Jyoti Pappu Kalani. BJP's voteshare increased by 5.9% from 2014, while NCP's voteshare increased by 2.6%.

The constituency saw a 2-cornered contest, with Bharatiya Janata Party, Nationalist Congress Party all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
