Shiv Sena wins in Magathane by 49,146 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Prakash Rajaram Surve of Shiv Sena beats Maharashtra Navnirman sena's Nayan Pradeep Kadam in Magathane

Shiv Sena won Magathane, defeating second-placed Maharashtra Navnirman sena by 49146 votes. It had also won Magathane in the previous election, and retained the seat with a landslide margin.

Magathane is in the Mumbai region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.

Prakash Rajaram Surve of the Shiv Sena received 59.6% of the vote, compared to 27.1% of the Maharashtra Navnirman sena's Nayan Pradeep Kadam. Shiv Sena's voteshare increased by 19.0% from 2014, while Maharashtra Navnirman sena's voteshare increased by 27.1%.

The constituency saw a 2-cornered contest, with Shiv Sena, Maharashtra Navnirman sena all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
