Shiv Sena wins in Bhandup West by 29,173 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Ramesh Gajanan Korgaonkar of Shiv Sena beats Maharashtra Navnirman sena's Sandeep Prabhakar Jalgaonkar in Bhandup West

Shiv Sena won Bhandup West, defeating second-placed Maharashtra Navnirman sena by 29173 votes. It had also won Bhandup West in the previous election, and retained the seat with a landslide margin.

Bhandup West is in the Mumbai region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.

Ramesh Gajanan Korgaonkar of the Shiv Sena received 45.2% of the vote, compared to 26.9% of the Maharashtra Navnirman sena's Sandeep Prabhakar Jalgaonkar. Shiv Sena's voteshare increased by 15.7% from 2014, while Maharashtra Navnirman sena's voteshare increased by 26.9%.

The constituency saw a 3-cornered contest, with Shiv Sena, Maharashtra Navnirman sena, Indian National Congress all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
