Shiv Sena won Dindoshi, defeating second-placed NCP by 44511 votes. It had also won Dindoshi in the previous election, and retained the seat with a landslide margin.
Dindoshi is in the Mumbai region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.
Sunil Prabhu of the Shiv Sena received 52.6% of the vote, compared to 24.1% of the NCP's Vidya Chavan. Shiv Sena's voteshare increased by 16.9% from 2014, while NCP's voteshare increased by 18.7%.
The constituency saw a 3-cornered contest, with Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party, Maharashtra Navnirman sena all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
