Shiv Sena wins in Kalina by 4,931 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Sanjay Govind Potnis of Shiv Sena beats Congress's George Abraham in Kalina

Shiv Sena won Kalina, defeating second-placed Congress by 4931 votes. It had also won Kalina in the previous election, and retained the seat with a narrow margin.

Kalina is in the Mumbai region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.

Sanjay Govind Potnis of the Shiv Sena received 36.5% of the vote, compared to 32.4% of the Congress's George Abraham. Shiv Sena's voteshare increased by 11.9% from 2014, while Congress's voteshare increased by 13.5%.

The constituency saw a 3-cornered contest, with Shiv Sena, Indian National Congress, Maharashtra Navnirman sena all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
