Congress wins in Vandre East by 5,790 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Congress won Vandre East, defeating second-placed Shiv Sena by 5790 votes. Shiv Sena had won this constituency in the previous election, but Congress took control of the seat with a narrow margin in this election.

Zeeshan Baba Siddique of the Congress received 30.3% of the vote, compared to 25.7% of the Shiv Sena's Prin. Vishwanath Pandurang Mahadeshwar. Congress's voteshare increased by 20.4% from 2014, while Shiv Sena's voteshare fell by 7.8%.
