BJP wins in Panvel by 92,730 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Prashant Ramsheth Thakur of BJP beats Peasants And Workers Party of India's Haresh Manohar Keni in Panvel

BJP won Panvel, defeating second-placed Peasants And Workers Party of India by 92730 votes. It had also won Panvel in the previous election, and retained the seat with a landslide margin.

Panvel is in the Thane Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.

Prashant Ramsheth Thakur of the BJP received 59.2% of the vote, compared to 28.6% of the Peasants And Workers Party of India's Haresh Manohar Keni. BJP's voteshare increased by 14.6% from 2014, while Peasants And Workers Party of India's voteshare increased by 28.6%.

The constituency saw a 2-cornered contest, with Bharatiya Janata Party, Peasants And Workers Party of India all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
