BJP wins in Chinchwad by 38,498 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Jagtap Laxman Pandurang of BJP beats Independent's Kalate Rahul Tanaji in Chinchwad

BJP won Chinchwad, defeating second-placed Independent by 38498 votes. It had also won Chinchwad in the previous election, and retained the seat with a comfortable margin.

Chinchwad is in the Western Maharashtra region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.

Jagtap Laxman Pandurang of the BJP received 54.2% of the vote, compared to 40.3% of the Independent's Kalate Rahul Tanaji. BJP's voteshare increased by 8.2% from 2014, while Independent's voteshare remained unchanged -.

The constituency saw a 2-cornered contest, with Bharatiya Janata Party, Independent all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
