NCP won Pimpri, defeating second-placed Shiv Sena by 19808 votes. Shiv Sena had won this constituency in the previous election, but NCP took control of the seat with a comfortable margin in this election.
Pimpri is in the Western Maharashtra region of Maharashtra. It is also a constituency reserved for SC candidates, and is a predominantly urban constituency.
Anna Dadu Bansode of the NCP received 49.0% of the vote, compared to 37.8% of the Shiv Sena's Adv. Chabukswar Gautam Sukhdev. NCP's voteshare increased by 20.7% from 2014, while Shiv Sena's voteshare increased by 8.2%.
The constituency saw a 2-cornered contest, with Nationalist Congress Party, Shiv Sena all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
