BJP wins in Pune Cantonment by 5,012 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Kamble Sunil Dnyandev of BJP beats Congress's Bagwe Ramesh Anandrao in Pune Cantonment

BJP won Pune Cantonment, defeating second-placed Congress by 5012 votes. It had also won Pune Cantonment in the previous election, and retained the seat with a narrow margin.

Pune Cantonment is in the Western Maharashtra region of Maharashtra. It is also a constituency reserved for SC candidates, and is a predominantly urban constituency.

Kamble Sunil Dnyandev of the BJP received 41.2% of the vote, compared to 37.2% of the Congress's Bagwe Ramesh Anandrao. BJP's voteshare increased by 1.0% from 2014, while Congress's voteshare increased by 8.0%.

The constituency saw a 2-cornered contest, with Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
