Shiv Sena wins in Balapur by 18,788 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Nitinkumar Bhikanrao Tale of Shiv Sena beats Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi's Dr. Dhairyavardhan Haribhau Pundkar in Balapur

Shiv Sena won Balapur, defeating second-placed Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi by 18788 votes. Bharipa Bahujan Mahasangh had won this constituency in the previous election, but Shiv Sena took control of the seat with a comfortable margin in this election.

Balapur is in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly rural constituency.

Nitinkumar Bhikanrao Tale of the Shiv Sena received 35.5% of the vote, compared to 25.9% of the Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi's Dr. Dhairyavardhan Haribhau Pundkar. Shiv Sena's voteshare increased by 31.5% from 2014, while Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi's voteshare increased by 25.9%.

The constituency saw a 3-cornered contest, with Shiv Sena, Vanchit Bahujan Aaghadi, All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
