Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis of BJP beats Congress's Dr. Ashish Deshmukh in Nagpur South West
BJP won Nagpur South West, defeating second-placed Congress by 49344 votes. It had also won Nagpur South West in the previous election, and retained the seat with a landslide margin.
Nagpur South West is in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It is a predominantly urban constituency.
Devendra Gangadharrao Fadnavis of the BJP received 56.9% of the vote, compared to 31.2% of the Congress's Dr. Ashish Deshmukh. BJP's voteshare fell by 2.6% from 2014, while Congress's voteshare increased by 2.5%.
The constituency saw a 2-cornered contest, with Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
