Congress wins in Nagpur North by 20,694 votes: Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2019

Dr. Nitin Raut of Congress beats BJP's Dr. Milind Mane in Nagpur North

Congress won Nagpur North, defeating second-placed BJP by 20694 votes. BJP had won this constituency in the previous election, but Congress took control of the seat with a comfortable margin in this election.

Nagpur North is in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra. It is also a constituency reserved for SC candidates, and is a predominantly urban constituency.

Dr. Nitin Raut of the Congress received 44.3% of the vote, compared to 33.8% of the BJP's Dr. Milind Mane. Congress's voteshare increased by 16.6% from 2014, while BJP's voteshare fell by 4.3%.

The constituency saw a 3-cornered contest, with Indian National Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party, Bahujan Samaj Party all getting a voteshare of 10% of more.
